Parents meeting Monday, Oct. 27th at 6:15 in the upstairs meeting room at Lakeshore Sports Centre. Meeting will cover both try-out info as well as season schedules, commitment and team expectations. Please have a representative present for the meeting for each perspective player.
Official Tryouts for the 2014-15 season begin Nov. 3rd
Team skates are Nov. 3rd , Nov. 4th and Nov. 6th (3:30-5:00) @ Lakeshore Sports Centre.
Physical fitness testing will be on Friday Nov. 7th after school at R-PHS starting at 3:30 until finished (approx. 5:00)
All athletes must have a completed sports physical (dated after April 15th, 2014) on file in the R-P Athletic office. If you are from a Co-op school and played a fall sport ask your athletic office to forward a copy to the R-P Athletic office. Players will not be able to try-out for the team without a current physical. Team selection could begin as early as the conclusion of Tuesday’s skate. Final team selection will be concluded after Friday testing if possible.
We have a great opportunity to work with Muskegon Yoga for team training this fall, we have set up an RP Hockey class on Wed. 4:00-5:00 at their facility at Seaway and Seminole. The cost is $49 for a 2 month membership that includes our class and unlimited open classes in that time frame. This is a great way to strengthen bodies and mental focus in a fun environment that will allow team bonding and improvements. This class is open to any Varsity or Northside Star players. See the attached waiver that must be completed and turned in with payment to Muskegon Yoga on Oct. 29.

Volunteers are Needed
I am looking for 2-3 couples to help sell 50/50 tickets at the Varsity football game this Friday night, September 26th. It is Reeths-Puffers homecoming game, so it will be very busy and Rob and i cannot do the ticket sales alone!
All proceeds go towards the varsity Hockey program, and this is one of the only fundraisers we have to help keep costs down.
PLEASE email or call me and let me know you can help!

Hockey families please see the below information. Contact Deb Eskew for additional info.
Hello Mr. Sikkenga, I have an exchange student from Finland that urgently needs a host family. He has been playing Ice Hockey since he was seven and plays regularly on a team. With school starting next week, it is urgent for him to see his dream come true to attend school in America.
Can you help this young man? Can you or someone on your team host him for the school year at Reeths-Puffer?
Currently I have 5 exchange students attending Reeths-Puffer. I need a Hockey family for Miika Korhonen (Finland).
